ROMANS 8
Sometimes our sinful nature just will not give up. We struggle with evil thoughts and temptation.
There is a great chapter in the Bible, Romans 8, which helps us achieve victory and live in the Spirit.
All believers experience this struggle, even the writers of the Bible experienced this “fight.”
With the promise of the Holy Spirit, we can win this battle. Take the time to read Romans 8.

In the last lesson you learned about God’s victory. In Roman’s 8, you learn about God’s victory within you!
Do you believe you can win the battle between spirit and flesh with God’s help?
Step out into the fight today by giving God’s Spirit control of your flesh. Say no to some specific sin or say yes to doing something God is wanting you to do.
PRAYER
“Jesus, I really want to experience victory over sin and death but I can’t do it on my own. Give me the courage to step out and fight against my old sinful nature. Help me to over come (your specific sin) and to step out to do what you have asked me to do (love my family, live selflessly, give money, share my faith, have more joy etc).
I ask for victory in my life in the name of Jesus, amen.”
